The Origin of Andicrose Wooden Bicycles: A Return to the Roots

The Inspiration Behind Andicrose

During a casual visit to a museum in Italy, one of the Andicrose founders was captivated by one of the earliest bicycles in history, crafted from wood. He wondered whether it was possible, in today’s world, to create a wooden bicycle that combined the highest levels of technology and performance. This moment of reflection sparked the inception of Andicrose.

ABOUT US

The Formation
of the Company

Upon returning to Brazil in 2016, this partner approached at SATC University and, together with engineering students, embarked on a meticulous process of validating the idea.

The validation of this idea led to the establishment of the company in 2019 with the R&D team. They formed the partnership that would become the foundation of Andicrose. With a clear goal to create unique bicycles that blend the timeless elegance of wood with cutting-edge engineering, they chose Jatobá wood, also known as Brazilian Cherry, for its unparalleled strength and beauty.

The Tireless Testing

Over the next two years, the team dedicated themselves to rigorous testing and in-depth studies on the mechanics of wood, its behavior, and its application in bicycles.

They continuously refined their production processes, always striving to achieve the perfect balance between the high durability of their bicycle frames and the lightness required for a truly unique riding experience.
