PRESERVING THE FUTURE, TODAY

Certified Brazilian Cherry Wood

Sustainable forestry management is crucial when working with premium woods like Brazilian Cherry. At Andicrose Wooden Bikes, we exclusively source Brazilian Cherry from certified forests in northern Brazil, ensuring that the harvesting process is conducted responsibly and that the local ecosystem remains protected.

STANDING FORESTS, SECURED FUTURE

Sustainable Forest Division and Management

The forest is divided into sections, with a different section harvested each year. Imagine a forest split into 30 sections: in a year, only select mature trees, such as Jatobá (Brazilian Cherry), are harvested from one of these sections, while the remaining young trees continue to thrive. This section will not be harvested again for the next 29 years, allowing the forest to regenerate naturally.

Natural regeneration not only preserves biodiversity but also increases carbon dioxide absorption, as new trees consume more CO₂ for their growth.

Giving Back More
Than We Take

Using legally sourced and certified wood is just the first step in keeping our forests thriving and standing tall. But our commitment doesn’t stop there. The Andicrose Grove is an initiative that turns each bicycle into a seed for the future.

RETURNING TO ROOT

Bosque Andicrose

In partnership with APREMAVI (Association for the Preservation of the Environment and Life), Andicrose has initiated a project that honors our origins and goes beyond bicycle production. For every batch of bicycles crafted, we plant new saplings in degraded areas of Brazil’s Atlantic Forest. This initiative not only offsets our wood usage but also contributes to the restoration of vital ecosystems and the preservation of biodiversity.
